House by the Railroad

This painting is a copy of Edward Hopper’s “House by the Railroad”I painted this study in prep for a fundraiser where artists paint during lunch and then the works are offered for auction at the end of the event.

I started the painting from scratch (other artists brought a nearly finished piece to the event) and now I know why I was the only one to attempt to complete a painting in 2 hours. I sure didn’t get it as finished as this but I’m grateful that it raised some funds for a great cause!
